With the Bobcats sitting at 4-30 on the season, it just doesn’t make much sense to play their older veterans a lot the rest of the year. With that in mind, 21-year old point guard Kemba Walker will likely see a small bump in P.T. the rest of the year. He has played in 34 games (17 starts) for the Bobcats so far this year and he is averaging 28.7 minutes, 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Walker is only shooting 36.7% from the floor and 33.9% from three point range so far this year. I think he will need to start taking better shots and quit being such a gunner in the near future. That will likely come with experience. 19-year old center Bismack Biyombo doesn’t have much of an offensive game, but he’s certainly fun to watch as a rebounder and defensive player. He has played in 32 games (10 starts) for the Bobcats so far this year and he is averaging 16.5 minutes, 3.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 1.7 blocked shots per game. He is only shooting 41.8% from the free throw line so far this year, so that’s something he’s going to need to improve, especially with his playing style as he is likely to get to the free throw line a lot in the future. 22-year old shooting guard Cory Higgins has been hoisting a lot of bricks as he is only hitting 33% of his shots from the floor so far this year. He has played in 24 games (0 starts) for the Bobcats so far this year and he is averaging 11.4 minutes, 4.0 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.9 assists per game.
