The Charlotte Bobcats were 44-38 last season but everything seemed to break right for them last year. While I really like Stephen Jackson & Gerald Wallace I don’t think they have enough talent around them to make it back to the playoffs in 2010-11. I would have to bet the under (39.5 wins) if forced to make a bet on the Bobcats this year. They are 125-1 to win the NBA Championship and I don’t think that’s a bet worth making.
The Bobcats are not a very good basketball team. They might be without starting shooting guard Raja Bell for a while and the trade of Emeka Okafor to the Hornets for Tyson Chandler was a huge downgrade. The Bobcats will be lucky to get 50 games out of the injury prone Chandler this season. The Bobcats don’t have a lot of depth and the talent on the active roster looks pretty darn weak. The only thing that scares me about taking the under is that Larry Brown is a genius. Still, I would take the under with the Bobcats as I don’t see them winning near 38 games this year.
