The Bobcats shot 50% from the floor last night and it was a big reason for the nice win to end the year.  Gerald Henderson led the way for the Bobcats last night with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 1 blocked shot.  D.J. Augustin (17 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal) and Dante Cunningham (14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games last night for the Bobcats.  D.J. White (12 points) and Kwame Brown (10 points and 8 rebounds) also pitched in for the Bobcats last night.  The Bobcats finished the 2010-11 regular season with a 34-48 record.

The Bobcats shot 57% from the floor last night and it helped them pull a nice win out on the road.  Dante Cunningham (21 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot), Boris Diaw (20 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 blocked shot) and D.J. Augustin (19 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists) led the way for the Bobcats last night.  Gerald Henderson (14 points) and Kwame Brown (11 points) also pitched in for the Bobcats last night.  The Bobcats are now 33-48 on the year.

The Bobcats were up 40-25 after the first quarter and then the roof caved in.  The Pistons outrebounded the Bobcats 39-29 and they shot 55.6% from the floor which are the two big reasons the Bobcats lost this game.  Gerald Henderson (21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot), Boris Diaw (20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists) and Kwame Brown (19 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Bobcats last night.  D.J. The Charlotte Bobcats have shut down 32-year old SG/SF Stephen Jackson (hamstring), 24-year old power forward Tyrus Thomas (knee) and 25-year old point guard Shaun Livingston (back).  These injuries are going to leave a mark on the Bobcats as they are all key players.  Jackson played in 67 games (all starts) for the Bobcats this year and he averaged 35.9 minutes, 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  He is the best offensive player on the Bobcats right now.  Tyrus Thomas only played in 41 games (2 starts) for the Bobcats this year and he averaged 21.0 minutes, 10.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.6 blocked shots per game.  One of these years the Bobcats are going to turn Thomas loose in the starting lineup and see what he can really do.  Shaun Livingston played in 73 games (0 starts) for the Bobcats this year and he averaged 17.3 minutes, 6.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.  The Bobcats expected more from Livingston this year.

The Bobcats didn’t play any D as the Heat shot 56.5% from the floor and it did them in last night.  Kwame Brown had one of the best games of his NBA career last night as he led the way for the Bobcats with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot.  Garrett Temple (17 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 2 steals in 19 minutes on the floor) and D.J. White (13 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist in 24 minutes) also pitched in with solid games off the bench for the Bobcats last night.  Boris Diaw (11 points), D.J. Augustin (11 points) and Dominic McGuire (10 points) also pitched in for the Bobcats in this game.  The Bobcats are now 32-47 on the year.

Orlando Magic 111, Charlotte Bobcats 102 in O.T.

The Bobcats didn’t play much D as the Magic shot 53.9% from the floor and they also were outscored 15-6 in O.T.  This loss eliminated the Bobcats from the playoffs.  Gerald Henderson led the way for the Bobcats last night with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Boris Diaw (17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals) and Dante Cunningham (16 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists) also had solid games for the Bobcats last night.  Kwame Brown filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot.  The Bobcats are now 32-46 on the year.

The Bobcats only shot 39% from the floor in this game and it killed them last night.  D.J. Augustin led the way for the Bobcats last night with 22 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists and 5 steals.  Gerald Henderson (15 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot) and Matt Carroll (13 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots in 22 minutes on the floor) also had solid games for the Bobcats last night.  Dante Cunningham (10 points and 11 rebounds) and Kwame Brown (10 points) also pitched in for the Bobcats in this game.  This was a big loss for the Bobcats as they are now 32-45 on the year.

The Charlotte Bobcats shut down Eduardo Najera for the rest of the year

The Charlotte Bobcats have decided to shut down 34-year old forward Eduardo Najera for the rest of the season due to a back injury.  Najera played in 31 games (0 starts) for the Bobcats this season and he averaged 12.0 minutes, 2.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.  He only shot 36.1% from the floor, 32.4% from three point range and 55% from the free throw line this year.  The Bobcats won’t miss Najera too much as he didn’t really add much to the team this year.

Kwame Brown has been solid lately for the Charlotte Bobcats

29-year old center Kwame Brown is playing pretty decent when the Bobcats need it the most.  In Brown’s last 8 games, Brown is averaging 34.9 minutes, 9.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocked shots per game.  He has now played in 60 games (44 starts) this season and he is averaging 24.9 minutes, 7.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.  Kwame Brown is a personal favorite of Michael Jordan as he refuses to admit that he made a big mistake taking him #1 overall with the Wizards.  Brown has a chance to vindicate Jordan if he can help get the Bobcats into the NBA Playoffs this year.
