The Charlotte Bobcats sign Dominic McGuire

Blogged under Big Bobcats News,Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page,General by alleyoop on Friday 9 July 2010 at 8:59 pm

The Bobcats have signed 25-year old forward Dominic McGuire. Details of the contract have not been released as of yet. McGuire played in 51 games (2 starts) for the Wizards and Kings last season in which he averaged 6.0 minutes, 0.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He has now played in 200 games (60 starts) in his three years in the NBA and he has averaged 15.4 minutes, 2.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. McGuire likely won’t get much P.T. in 2010-11 but it’s still good to have decent vets on the bench.

Is this going to be the new team and is this going to help and put more W’s up for Charlotte?

The Southeast Division is looking tough for the 2010-11 NBA season. I think the Bobcats would be best served to run a smaller, very athletic team out there in 2010. Jackson, Wallace, Thomas, Livingston and Diaw could run some teams right out of the gym. I don’t like the options at center though.
