The Charlotte Bobcats sign shooting guard Shannon Brown

The Bobcats have signed 22-year old shooting guard Shannon Brown to a 1-year contract. Brown appears to be a talented player but he’s always been buried on the bench in both Cleveland and Chicago. With regular playing time Brown could surprise the Bobcats with some decent production. Brown played in 21 games (4 starts) for the Bulls and Cavs and he averaged 11.4 minutes, 5.4 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.8 assists per game. But, he only shot 34.9% from the floor last season. Brown has now played in 44 games (9 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 10.0 minutes, 4.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Brown has only shot 36% from the floor in his career. Brown was a first round pick a couple of seasons ago so he might just need a chance to show what he can do. This was a nice low risk/high reward signing for the Bobcats.
