The Charlotte Bobcats re-sign point guard Jeff McInnis

This was a smart move after the Bobcats let Brevin Knight leave to sign with the Clippers. The Cats needed someone they could depend on to back up Raymond Felton at the point this season. McInnis played in 38 games (3 starts) last season for the Bobcats and he averaged 18.5 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He didn’t shoot too well for the Bobcats last season as he only hit 39.2% from the floor, 12.5% from the three point line and 68.8% from the free throw line.

McInnis has had a solid NBA career to this point. He has played in 522 games (308 starts) and he has averaged 27.8 minutes, 9.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. He has made 43.1% of his shots from the floor, 33.2% from the three point line and 79.7% of his free throws over his NBA career.
