The Charlotte Bobcats waive Brevin Knight

The Bobcats have decided that they wanted to spend their money elsewhere so they waived point guard Brevin Knight. Knight played pretty well in his time in Charlotte but the Bobcats figured that Raymond Felton was ready to take over full time at the point. Knight played in 45 games (25 starts) and he averaged 28.3 minutes, 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He wasn’t much of a shooter for a guard however as he only hit 41.9% of his shots from the floor, 5.6% from three point range and 80.5% from the free throw line.

Knight has played in 581 NBA games over his career (384 starts) and he has averaged 8.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He has never been that much of a shooter as he has hit 41.6% of his shots from the floor, 15% from three point range and 78.7% from the free throw line.
