Jake Voskuhl terminates his deal with the Charlotte Bobcats

Blogged under Big Bobcats News,Bloglockers,Comings & Goings,Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 3 July 2007 at 3:10 pm

For some reason Jake Voskuhl’s agent thinks he can make more money as a free agent than he could be staying with the Bobcats so Voskuhl terminated his contract and is now an unrestricted free agent. Voskuhl played in 73 games (9 starts) with the Bobcats and he averaged 14.3 minutes, 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Voskuhl made 47.5% of his shots from the floor and 68.1% from the free throw line.

Voskuhl has been a decent backup but nothing special in his NBA career so far. He has played in 368 games (92 starts) and he has averaged 15.8 minutes, 4.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He has shot 49.7% from the floor and 70.7% from the free throw line over his NBA career.

Jake is one of the best centers in NBA history. His hustle and grit make him so valuable. Look at how teams perfrom with him on the floor and you will see he makes things happen.

    4. My drinking has no influence on evaluating NBA Talent

Jake has never been given the right opportunity. With the right mix he will be a 20-10 guy every night on a team he can lead through the playoffs.

Voskuhl might be able to average 20 points and 10 rebounds per week….if his team plays at least 4 games per week.

You watch…Before you know it, someone will pick up Jake, I just hope it is the Bobcats. He wont stay a free agent for long.

The Bucks are fools for giving Voskuhl that kind of money to play 15-20 minutes per night.

The bucks have another chance to prove they can recognize goog talent. Voskuhl is a free agent again this year. If they are smart they will pick him up.
