Gerald Wallace was outstanding last season for the Charlotte Bobcats
Gerald Wallace had the best season of his NBA career last year. In 72 games last season, Wallace averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in 36.7 minutes. Wallace shot an outstanding 50.2% from the floor and he hit 32.5% of his 3-point attempts. He did have problems at the free throw line as he only hit 69.1% from the line…but a lot of that could be do to the high amount of hard fouls that he takes. Still, that’s the one area Wallace could improve on.
Wallace’s career numbers continue to improve because he’s playing a lot more for the Bobcats than he ever did for the Kings. Wallace has know played in 335 games in his NBA career, and he’s averaged 23.9 minutes, 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He also raised all three of his shooting %’s due to his fine season. He now has hit 48.7% of his FG’s, 29.0% of his 3-pointers and 64.2% of his free throws. Look for the trend of his career numbers to improve for the forseeable future.
