The Bobcats just didn’t want this game as much as the Trailblazers and that’s why they lost last night. Gerald Wallace led the way for the Bobcats with 30 points, 15 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. Emeka Okafor also had a solid game with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Gerald Wallace really playing well this season for the Bobcats

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Steppin Up by Nothing but Net on Friday 9 February 2007 at 1:14 pm

The Bobcats need to find a way to keep Gerald Wallace healthy because he can really take over a game at both ends of the court as he gives 100% on the court at all times. Wallace is averaging 15.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game this season. He would even average more points if he were a better free-throw shooter. He’s hit 48.5% from the floor, 26.5% from three-point range and 66.0% from the free-throw line.Â

Trio of Bobcats going to miss time with injuries

Blogged under Big Bobcats News,Front Page,Injuries by Nothing but Net on Sunday 4 February 2007 at 2:06 pm

Second year forward Sean May has a bone bruise on his right knee and he will be out at least another week. The Bobcats miss him because he’s played well this season. May has played in 32 games and he is averaging 23.6 minutes, 11.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

Center Primoz Brezec will miss some time with a bulging disc in his lower back. He played so well the last two seasons for the Bobcats but this year has been a huge disappointment for him. He has played in 26 games this season and is averaging 16.5 minutes, 6.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.3 assists.

Reserve forward Othella Harrington had surgery on his left knee to repair torn cartilage and will be out indefinately. He was only averaging 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game and has been buried on the bench this season.

Bobcats draft has been a little disappointing so far

Blogged under Front Page,Rookie Reports by Nothing but Net on Saturday 3 February 2007 at 6:18 pm

Adam Morrison came into the reputation as a scorer and he got Michael Jordan’s praise when he was drafted by the Bobcats….but he has not played well.  Morrison can only hit a shot if he’s left wide open and NBA Defenses have adjusted by putting a hand in his face at all times. He has only hit 37.9% of his shots from the floor and only 32.9% from three-point range. Morrison has played in 46 games and is averaging 13.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He also is having big problems on defense because he’s not that fast. He’s starting to remind me of Danny Ferry and that’s not a good thing for the Bobcats.

Forward Walter Herrman hasn’t got much playing time but he’s played well when he’s gotten the chance. He’s played in 15 games and is averaging 10.7 minutes, 4.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game. He will get better with experience.

Center Ryan Hollins hasn’t gotten much playing time this season. He’s played in 8 games and is averaging 8.7 minutes, 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds.
