Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Thursday 18 January 2007 at 12:38 pm

The Bobcats fell behind 53-34 in the first half and they only shot 38.7% from the floor and those two factors did them in last night. Raymond Felton had a bad shooting night (6 of 17) from the floor, but he still wound up leading the Bobcats with 18 points. Emeka Okafor really played hard last night as he wound up with 14 points, 21 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocked shots.

The Bobcats need Primoz Brezec to return to form

Blogged under Front Page,Need to step up by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 10:32 pm

Primoz Brezec missed the early part of the season and he hasn’t been getting much playing time. The Bobcats really need him to round into shape so they have a legit center. In his first two seasons with the Bobcats, Brezec averaged 12.7 points and 6.4 rebounds and the Cats need him to get back to that. Brezec has played in 24 games this season and he’s averaging 16.0 minutes, 6.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.Â

Blogged under Front Page,Game Recaps by Nothing but Net on Sunday 14 January 2007 at 6:35 pm

The Bobcats only shot 38.3% from the floor last night, but it didn’t matter because they played well on defense. The Bobcats held the 76ers to 39.7% shooting from the floor and that’s why they won this game. Adam Morrison led the Bobcats with 17 points. Derek Anderson also had a solid game with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

Bobcats having another tough season

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 9 January 2007 at 11:35 pm

The Bobcats are 9-23 on the season which is good for last place in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. The Bobcats are 10.5 games behind the Orlando Magic. The Bobcats are having serious problems on offense as they are only averaging 93.8 points per game which is 25th in the NBA. They also are a poor shooting team as they’ve only hit 42.8% of their shots which is last in the NBA. Emeka Okafor has been the main man for the Bobcats. He’s averaging 14.7 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game this season. Raymond Felton (38.3%) and Adam Morrison (36.9%) need to shoot better or it will continue to be a very long season for the Bobcats.

Gerald Wallace to miss a couple of more games

Blogged under Front Page,Injuries by Nothing but Net on Monday 8 January 2007 at 11:04 pm

Gerald Wallace could be out until at least Saturday with shoulder and rib injuries. The Bobcats can’t afford to have him out much longer because the Bobcats miss his athletic ability on the court. Wallace is averaging 13.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game so far this season.

Matt Carroll providing a big boost off the bench

Blogged under Front Page,Steppin Up by Nothing but Net on Sunday 7 January 2007 at 9:46 pm

With Brevin Knight hurt, the Bobcats needed someone to produce in the backcourt and Carroll has stepped up big-time. Carroll has played well in his last 6 games (2 starts) and he’s averaged 17.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Carroll is a great shooter that has hit 20 of 38 three pointers in this recent stretch of games which has really helped the Bobcats stretch the court on offense.
